Hi All,
I had decided a few months ago to start donating to the "He Cures All" Foundation on a recurring basis. I came up with an amount that I thought I'd comfortably be able to pay each month and went ahead and set up an automatic payment through PayPal. This way, I could be certain that the donation would be made each month without me having to remember to make it each time. Being that I tend to forget things, this is a big help and is just a one-time setup that was quick and easy.
For me, I felt that it was the right thing to do and I wanted to help those who suffer from this horrible disease in whatever way I could. Especially because they are in a situation where they have the added burden of not being able to afford what's necessary to heal and get better. But I've also gotten to know so many people on the forum and genuinely care about each and every person.
The Bible says to "bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ". Well, I believe that this classifies as a burden and a huge unsurmountable one at that. At least it is without help from our Lord and others. So in this way, I am bearing the burdens of others, but my own burdens are being born by others as well, through the forum, the weekly calls, but also by direct contact made by individual members of the forum. I truly believe that God helps His people by working through them. I feel His love through all of you and others who are in Christ.
The Bible also says, "each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver". So if you have the means to give, do so with cheerfulness, and with an amount that doesn't cause you to have any reluctance in your heart. Let God's love overflow from your hearts and be poured out onto others. They will be blessed, but you also will be blessed in the blessing.
