We moved to a house where doors closed on their own and the lights flickered and 2 rows of tiles fell off the kitchen wall.
We were told that the previous owner had been electrocuted filling her iron.
We were terrified and got the canon of the local church to bless the house. He sat down waiting for my husband to be present .
My four year old daughter inexplicably stripped off behind the settee and said to the Reverend “you can’t see my knickers!!!”
He said that I shouldn’t automatically think of supernatural reasons- it could be a fault in the electric system or bad carpentry.
As he was trying to reassure me, the washing machine went onto the spin cycle with a loud high “woooooo”
The Canon slapped his arms against the back of the settee and exclaimed. ....What’s that!! He was visibly shaken, and I
said calmly oh it’s just the spin cycle coming on.
Well it was funny at the time! |
