"At least the sharks didn't eat me"
**Multiple Positive Updates**

Yesterday was a great day of confrontations and resolutions.

Let’s start with therapy, which has been a constant source of nightmares over the past few months. I met with the director, Dr. Gray, about why I am being denied therapy. Believe it or not, he really wasn’t interested in who was right, who was wrong, or who was lying. He was just concerned that I get the therapy I had been receiving for both my left hip and my right torn meniscus.

He asked if I was willing to drive up to Fort Collins, and since it’s never more than a 10–15 minute trip, I said sure. He will take over my therapy, and apparently I won’t have to take a lie detector test! He doesn’t want anyone punished; he just wants the problem resolved. So, we have a deal.

That was a situation that had been haunting me for months, not allowing me to get the rest I need and interfering with the coaching responsibilities I’ve handled in the past. It feels good to finally have that addressed.

With that taken care of, I went to my usual dispensary, where I was alerted to the fact that I had been overcharged. After a discussion with the manager, I was given compensation, and the person responsible was fired. Another problem resolved.

Then came the trains.

I had great anticipation for something I thought would be a lot of fun. Throughout my life, whenever I’ve gotten involved with model railroading, it has been a great addition to my sanity. It’s like creating a work of art. Once you become immersed in it, it turns into a never-ending creation.

But to my dismay, these trains are smaller than my previous railroad. My old trains were O gauge, and these are HO gauge, about half the size. They don’t hold onto the track as well as the larger, heavier trains, so there has been a lot of frustration putting trains back on the track multiple times during a session when I really just want to play!

My friend John, who is the engineering type, can fix all kinds of things. But I don’t think he completely understood what I was trying to accomplish from an aesthetic point of view. I ended up spending a great deal of time fixing things instead of having a good time.

Today, I’m going to take another look at the track design and see if I can configure it more like what I originally envisioned: two tracks running down the middle, stations on either side, farmland on the side that gets great light, and a town built on the other side. Hopefully I can turn it into the relaxing little world I had pictured in my head.

On a sadder—but thankfully ultimately happy—note, poor Charlotte, my friend who occasionally cleans my house, told me her dogs got loose at the largest reservoir in Colorado. The big dog came back when called, but the little dog ended up hanging on for dear life to a buoy! The park ranger was tied up at a car accident, so help wasn’t immediately available. Apparently, the neighbor’s dog has figured out how to open the gate and let everybody loose.

Thankfully, someone with a jet ski came to the rescue, and the little dog was saved.

And finally, the best news: the operation to remove the patch is scheduled for September 14th.

After months of uncertainty, frustration, and things hanging over my head, it feels pretty good to finally have several things moving in the right direction.

To better serve those that have regular coaching, I want to make myself available to any and all regular coaching customers today, Friday 3-4:30, and Saturday 7am to 11 and 3-4:30, Sunday 7am-9:30 and you know we hold prayer at 10am. For those that didn't get to me by then we have Sunday afternoon 3-4:30. With my life seeming to be more together, I encourage anyone who wants to to please feel free to call me.

PS: I've giving up piracy. It's too hard of a way to make a living!!!!
