It is so great to hear from folks here who are well or nearly so. I want to chime in and add my family's recovery to the record in the hope that it might encourage someone to continue to fight on.

"Nearly well" is the operative phrase for our progress to date. I have sometimes been hesitant to post because we are some of those who have taken longer than most to beat this disease. When your recovery is slow it can seem that your story might be a discouragement to those in a hurry. I hope in reality our story demonstrates that anyone truly can get well.

Currently my 10 year-old daughter and I are at about 90% and still slowly improving. It has required an overwhelming amount of persistence, faith and determination to not give up over the past three years. We will reach our three-year anniversary on August 15th. My daughter at this moment shows no symptoms. My husband is completely well and has been for several months. Even our cat is well. :-) He has willingly taken MMS and Silver each day for nearly two years and seems to now be a very healthy and MD free kitty.

My case has been the most challenging. With a 20-year plus history of Lyme disease and a related auto-immune condition that limits my ability to use all the components of the protocol, I've really had to work at this. While I have begun to "give up hope" contrary to Mel's advice, I have never set up camp there. You shed your tears, take your losses and then move up and on again.

My unique challenges have made it necessary for me to research, experiment and adjust my protocol so that I do not exacerbate the auto-immune condition while still hopefully making progress. It has been complicated and daunting at times. And yes, it has cost us a fortune financially. We sold our home in part to afford to pay for what we needed. But as Ellen has said, "So what?". You do what you must, do even more and then get up when you are down and do it again. Until you are done. Period.

Anyone out there thinking that they too might be one of those "tough cases" and are considering giving up, I'd love to talk to you for an hour or two! ;-) Because I can pretty confidently say "If I can get well, anyone can."

I could not agree with Mel more. . . do not loose your focus. Don't look away to the right or to the left from the path. Getting well is your primary job now. Stay on task.

The most important components of the protocol are not supplements, as necessary as they all are. The most important ingredients are conviction, consistency and persistence. Combined with Mel's awesome protocol they will win the prize.

Who knows what wonderful blessings there are for you on the other side of this challenge? Mine and my family's prayers are with each and everyone of you.

Blessings,

Deborah B.
