Welcome! I am sorry that you have this disease however I am very happy that you found this website very quickly. I can assure you that the quicker someone finds us and gets on the, 'sum of the parts,' which you are already acquainted with, the quicker you can heal your bioterrain. I am from Scotland and I look forward to getting to know you. We will all help you as best we can. It is so good you have already spoken to Mel, embraced the website and are joining the conference calls!! I was really inspired that already you are looking to grow ,"physically, emotionally and spiritually," through this difficult journey. You know Timothy that positive determination will get you through this. It is half the journey. If people don't believe that they can beat it, they don't. It's as simple as that. Mind over matter is a huge component in this battle that sometimes people overlook. It doesn't matter if they do all the other things, positive belief is needed to encourage the immune function to kick into action again. You don't need to completely eliminate carbs but low Carb or keto with a small amount of carbs is the way to go. I understand re the Samaritans. I truly think they thought I was mad. I phoned them too over the years I had this, when I wasn't in the community or on the protocol. Unfortunately, in general, no one will understand what we go through unless they have been through it or go through it themselves. You are right re we all had a compromised immunity that enabled this disease to take over. If someone is exposed to Morgellons, but has a healthy bioterrain they will not get sick. Exposure to mold mycotoxins can trigger a chronic inflammatory response in the body. Not everyone is susceptible to a mold response and genetics can be a factor. Approximately 25% of the population is susceptible to mold. If susceptible, the chronic inflammation it causes suppresses the immune system. When immunity is compromised we can be easy pray to parasites, bacteria, virus, fungus, Morgellons, Co infections and Lyme. The most important thing is building up the bioterrain at a cellular level from the inside out. Generally the environment improves as we improve internally. Though we do have to keep it clean best we can, but we don't need to go overboard. It's good you are doing exercise, though I would limit physical contact with others when you are sweating, whilst you are in the early stages of dealing with this disease. Hang in there as you're definitely in the right place:-) Take care and speak to you soon, Chrissie | |||
