Oh humour is so important isn't it!! I think sometimes that newbies come on our prayer call and are surprised to hear us all laugh during fellowship! Ha ha sometimes if we giggle too much people may think that we have all gone a wee bit crazy!!! But the opposite is true, the laughter helps to keep us FROM going crazy :-). Our very own Joyce always says to me," that the day we give up laughing is the day that we have given up the fight!! " And that ain't happening :-). Yes Jamie, Aloe vera is soo helpful re digestive issues I take it with every meal. It is so good that it comes from a plant and is not a man made chemical! My dog Holly swears by slippery elm gruel at the end of her meals and it helps her IBD . Slippery elm being a demulcent is so soothing and healing to the lining of the stomach and intestines. I love the fact that Native Americans have used it as a natural medicine for hundreds of years. The Slippery Elm or Red Elm tree is native to North America. It is a source of calcium, iron, vitamin c, vitamin b1, magnesium and zinc. Hence why wee Holly has nice fur and bright eyes and is nearly ten years of age. Looking forward to hearing your new Southern accent after a while down South :-). Oh, I love Southern American accents very much! It's soo cool that many of Alan's family will live near your new home . Also some of your mums friends, former students and some close friends of yours too!! Aw I think wee Lilly will be just fine as long as she has her mama!! My wee cat was absolutely fine, all she needed was me. I'm glad to hear that since retiring you have the time and energy now to tune in to what your body and mind needs :-).Slow walking and enjoying your surroundings and slow eating and taking time to savour the food which in turn helps your digestion is a win win situation!! Thanks Jamie re your understanding regards my health. It was a very hard year last year for me, having two major surgeries in one year it really does take a toll on one. Not to mention my dad suddenly dying too. It was a lot to manage, living on my own. However, I have been blessed to have made some very lovely friends through this community who have helped me through :-). You know we ALL develop strong endurance and perseverance with everything we go through with this disease. I agree with Mel that we are all, 'warriors,' absolutely!!! It was very nice to catch up with you on our call last week. I know you are moving the third week of July! I hope the move goes smoothly! Take good and gentle care during it all. Best of luck, Chrissie | |||
