Hello and welcome new community members!

As you've read through forum threads and hopefully been able to join a conference call and prayer and fellowship call, you may have come to understand that one of the best forms of healing you can achieve is through connection. Human connection is so imperative in our lives. It's how we learn to love one another, learn from each other to improve in our own seasons of life, develop and strengthen relationships. Connection also plays a major role in our mental and physical wellness.

Dealing with this nightmare of a disease, tossed in with overcoming the fallout of the pandemic and vaccine positions, having some form of human connection is just about all we can ask for to get through this. And there's no better place to connect with people than in this community, and guidance from Mel. There is literally NO ONE in your close circle - no matter how close - who will understand what you're going through. My wife suffers from this toxic disease day in and day out and, as supportive as I can be, there are days where I find myself caught like a deer in the headlights and have no clue how to respond to a situation she's enduring.

It's understandable if you can't jump on the website and read the plethora of forum posts on a daily basis. It's understandable when you're not feeling well that trying to get in a good, quality meal is missed. It's understandable to forget a set of supplements to take with your food. It's understandable that getting quality sleep seems impossible. But if there's anything that you can do, it would be to connect with this community. Phone a member who you can lean on. Get coaching with Mel - he's here to help us! Get connected and stay connected.

As many have said before, don't second guess yourself - you are in the right place. Reap all the benefits that come with being part of this community, which is all about connection.

So happy you have arrived and taking on this journey with us!

Cheers
Joe
