9/6/2015 1:50:46 AM | Hi everyone, I am (42\F) from Sydney and have Morgellons. I just recently came across this website and am so grateful I did as it has given me a little bit of hope when I had lost all of my own. Looking back it has been over a year since my first bout of skin eruptions (although I have been unwell with various ailments continuously for nearly the last 2 years) and I was symptom free (of skin eruptions) for 4 months (Apr-Jul 2015) so I just put it all behind me as a strange "thing" that just happened and was trying to move on. It was then in late July 2015 after having to take antibiotics for a fingernail infection that I experienced a massive flare up of the skin eruptions, and this time I have extracted all sorts of things from my skin (including moving, coloured fibers) that now leaves me without any doubt that it is indeed Morgellons that I have. As suggested here, I am working my way through all the threads, conference calls, and will eventually have read every single word on this website. So appreciative of this resource! Luckily I had already adopted a few of the things from the protocol and believe this is what allowed me to be symptom free (skin eruptions) for 4 months but as I have recently had a new flare up, I am back where I started from and finding it hard to get through each day. I am trying to hold down a full time job whilst experiencing all the stinging, crawling & intense itching, visible lesions (including on my face) and I am mentally finding this all very difficult and hard to come to terms with. I feel like I am also mourning the loss of what my life was and will be for the foreseeable future. Life is never going to be the same again and this is a bitter pill to swallow. I would be extremely interested to connect with others in Australia (and in particular, Sydney) so I am happy to have my email address shared with anyone else who is wanting to connect. My support network is a grand total of 1 person (thank god for Mums!!!) so it would be wonderful to be able to talk to someone who knows what I am going through & I can hopefully also offer my support to you as well. Looking forward to connecting and hoping you are all having one of your better days. Gale |
