Hi to anyone out there who might read this.

Just an update from my side. I have recently developed numbness in my right hand which feels like an electric shock going up my arm when I touch it. This, along with strange arm shoulder pain & loss of strength in my arm (which my physio says he cannot explain from an anatomical standpoint) might be connected to Lyme, from what I have read.

My symptoms come & go.. 1 week it's the chronic fatigue, the next day or 2 I feel OK, then the next week my skin symptoms are returning with specs & other things returning (predominantly on my face) and now I have the skin crawling back and moving hair - which I must admit is really starting to freak me out. I have started putting my hair back & using a mixture of hydrogen peroxide with tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint & lavender oils on the scalp and coconut oil on the hair itself. I'm not sure if it's helping or making it worse. I used to use this same mixture on my hair when the crawling was really bad a year or more ago and it seemed to settle things down but i never had my hair moving on it's own back then.

I'v also been battling quite badly with mood swings and I hate to admit, depression is creeping up on me. Now, to add to the trauma I am now also having panic attacks! I KNOW how damaging panic attacks are to our immune system so I really need to get this under control but I feel as though I don't have any control of it. Once it starts, it takes over my whole body & it leaves me wrecked for the next 24 hours. I have started taking mindfulness & meditation classes but this doesn't help me in the moment. I get so upset and afraid, and I sincerely doubt that I am strong enough to keep up this fight for as long as I need to and the quality of life I will have in the process. I am struggling to keep it together at work (full time office job) and now, a lady whom i work with has been complaining about skin crawling and is coming up in spontaneous 'bites'!! I seriously don't know what I will do if I have given it to her. I try to avoid contact (or even getting in close range) with anyone at work but I don't think this is enough. As this lady is well aware that I was experiencing these symptoms too (although I have never mention M to anyone) I am so afraid that I will be blamed for spreading it around and will create a fear amongst people at work. It's bad enough if she was to get it too, but if this happens I could potentially find myself "not needed anymore".

In regards to my treatment & healing journey, from my understanding I need to take antibiotics to get control of this but I have GRAND RESERVATIONS with taking them due to what happened to me the last 2 times I took them. I am so afraid of this herximer reaction of intense biting, stinging, crawling & hundreds of painful, very slow healing lesions (with all sorts of things coming out of them) appearing all over my body again and this is what I know for a fact I am not strong enough to go through again. It is impossible to hold down a responsible job working full time whilst going through this. It was relentless & this was after only a 7-10 day course of antibiotics. Am I just delaying my healing (cure) by not taking the antibiotics? It's the sum of parts, I know, but I am too afraid I will not cope.

My dad (up until my recent Lyme diagnosis) was unable to understand the seriousness of what i have been going through but I have sent him some medical articles etc on chronic Lyme (as he would never understand M) & this has helped him to understand what I am dealing with (for the most part). On one of my really bad days recently when I was completely broken, I prayed & prayed for help and an hour later, my dad called as he received my paperwork on Lyme & he has offered now to help me by getting me an infrared sauna for home. I have now promised to hang in there & fight until I can use this sauna on a daily basis and see what healing that it can bring.

I have just done a skin biopsy of one of my lesions as the lab are looking for particular strains that they now believe are associated to M which are found in tissue. In the mean time, I have not been given any treatment advice from my GP & so I just continue on the supplement protocol for now. Next step is MMS & sauna and pray i can get through 1 day at a time.

Although this thread doesn't seem to be very active, I am still posting in case people are still reading and maybe it will help me a little to write it all out too.

Regards,
Gale
