What a beautiful post! It was really kind of you to take the time to post something so inspiring.
I have always loved “The Shawshank Redemption.” I definitely benefitted today from reading Andy Dufresne’s quote. Throughout the movie, through all the trials and tribulations of his existence in Shawshank prison, Andy never gave up hope. In the end, his escape and freedom makes the viewer want to cheer! I must have watched that movie about 50 times in my life. I think it is probably the best prison film ever made. I think it even tops “Cool Hand Luke” with Paul Newman and “Alcatraz” with Clint Eastwood.
Today is my 54th birthday, and your post plus a sweet phone call from Mel really made my day!
