Have you tried to use WPS in the area with your tax papers? I use it in my car every week along with the Kleen Green and have great results.
If you use the WPS, please make sure it is not in the same room with you. This is only a suggestion and it is something I have tried. Put 25 to 30 drops of the WPS in a saucer plate and add 25 to 30 drops of the activator (no water). Set it next to your papers and leave the room.
I would not enter the room for at least 5 hours and once you do enter, try placing the papers in concealed plastic containers or zip lock bags.
