So far, my number one improvement has been my digestion. This is not a small issue for me - it is a most welcome change. The healthier diet and supplements have both been critical, I believe, but I'd also like to mention that I've been making chia crackers, and since doing that, my wife has noticed better digestion as well. It's a great food to incorporate into your diet - cheap, easy to prepare, and very healthy. Many people make pudding - it's very simple: one part chia to three parts liquid, stir, wait seven minutes. Add whatever you like. My mental state on this day is better - I feel more optimistic about this path than others I've tried. The philosophy behind the diet and supplements makes complete sense, but having the community is really important as well. Doing something this difficult without support is nearly impossible. Feeling optimistic is important because it reduces anxiety, which itself can cause the body to become more acidic and inflamed. In addition to the diet and supplements, yesterday I went to two CBD stores and got some samples. I took a water-based extract, and a delta-8 gummy, which felt like a sugar bomb in my mouth, but I wanted to see if there would be any benefit. It took maybe 45 minutes to kick in, and the effects were very pronounced. It has similar effects to thc, without the anxiety. I was pretty amazed. I also ordered a bottle of Kleen Green, and sprayed it on myself after showering this morning. I'll look forward to learning about this product. A couple last things: Last night I started the 10-part Ken Burns documentary on Jazz, and noticed that my focus had improved and I was able to absorb the content better. I wouldn't be surprised if that was related to better digestion, since the brain and gut are so closely linked. Also, I completed a pop single called 'Superspreader', which is awaiting mastering. I hired a female vocalist, and I am very happy with how the song turned out. I look forward to sharing it. | |||
