I really appreciate all of that helpful information and your sharing what has worked for you. If that was rambling, then ramble on, because it's helpful to me and everyone else. It's now been over a month since I changed my diet and began taking the supplements, and I added the Morgellon's extension to the basic protocol yesterday. I've had some extremely challenging days, but yesterday was better and today I'm feeling alright as well. The diet has posed no issues for me thus far, and I can see myself eating this way for the rest of my life, with the occasional indulgence. I'm doing my best to make every aspect of my life as healthy as possible, so I'll share a few things I'm doing now. 1) Sprouts. My sprouting operation is up and running again, and I've been starting a new jar every three days, so I always have sprouts. I don't enjoy eating them, but they are okay in salads and with my homemade chia crackers and avocadoes. 2) Master Cleanse. I've been drinking water with a whole small lemon, cayenne pepper, and stevia most mornings. I use the liquid stevia as a replacement for the maple syrup, which I can't have yet. I don't like stevia, generally, but for this purpose it works well. 3) CBD and cannabis products. I recently received my medical marijuana card in the mail, so now I have a small selection of various oils, extracts, and flowers. They are helping a lot with sleep, but can make me over-stimuated during the day. I believe my system does not react normally to marijuana products, as I'm super sensitive, so I need to be careful. Ignoring the news and all the pundits and doom-and-gloom has probably been helpful for my sleep as well. 4) Chia Crackers. I've made them I believe five times now, and the last time they turned out the best, so I'll include the recipe here: 4 cups chia seeds 3/4 cup flax seeds 1/2 pound walnuts, in small pieces 3/4 cup sunflower seeds 3/4 cup pumpkin seeds 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, finely chopped 3 T toasted sesame oil 3 T caraway seeds 3 T soy sauce 2 medium lemons - just the juice 4 t salt Big shake of cayenne pepper Huge shake of Italian herbs 13 cups water I believe that's everything. What I do is mix all the ingredients together, adding the water last, and allow it to sit 15 minutes. Then I scoop the mixture onto dehydrator trays - this recipe creates 8 or 9 full trays in my 9-tray Excalibur dehydrator. I turn the machine on to 135 degrees for four hours, then turn it down to 115 degrees, and at about 8 hours, I flip them over. They are ready after about 16-20 hours. So, it's a big job, but after all that work, my wife and I have snacks for a week or two - the last batch lasted 16 days. They are a really great snack to munch on, and the chia seed is fantastic for good gut health. I used to make flax crackers, but the chia is a far better seed for crackers because it has a more mild flavor, you don't have to worry as much about them going rancid, and there is no problem about OD'ing on estrogens. 5) WPS in Laundry. I started using it for my laundry just this last week. 6) Splooshing. You've never heard that term before because I made it up. This means to add a splash of something healthy to your drinking water. I sploosh with lemon or lime juice or apple cider vinegar. So tell me - do you sploosh? It feels good to be taking good care of myself, and this is rubbing off a lot on my 13-year-old son. My wife has been a little slower to come around, but maybe she'll give up the cheese one of these days. The damn cat still refuses to change his diet, but he's fluffy so he can get away with anything. Aside from health, I'm continuing to watch some great documentaries about music, and have collaborated with 5 people now to help me produce songs - 4 female singers, and a male upright bass player. I'm really pleased with how my music is sounding, and I think it's important to have a sense of accomplishment every day. I've also been cooking more, and have made my wife and son things I can't even eat myself: lemon bars, chocolate pecan crumble bars, sweet potato bisque, and lentil chili. I'm getting rave reviews. I also made Baba Ganoush for the first time two days ago, and it turned out average, but I'm committed to making it killer, so I ordered me a grill so I can get the smoky flavor. Remember, everyone: Baba Ganoush is on the menu! It's a food that we can eat and it is mighty damn delicious. I also want to remind everyone to eat radishes - they are super healthy. And lastly, my wife's grandpa lived to be about 100, and he ate a can of sardines every day. Whether there's a connection or not, I've heard lots of good things about sardines, and I try to eat them a few times a week as well. The recipe I use for sardines: 3-4 stalks of celery, chopped 3 inches of cucumber, chopped Parsley, chopped A big forkful of avocado mayonnaise A drooble of olive oil (more than a splash) 1 tin of sardines Salt, pepper, turmeric, and smoked paprika - I don't measure So my ducks are mostly in a row, and you oughtta see my new pill box! It is fit for a king, which I am in a parallel universe. Great health to everyone, and try to laugh every day. Thanks for reading. | ||||||
