First, let me welcome you to the community. I’m glad you found the website. I was not able to make the call where Mel discussed and answered your questions.
I wanted to shed some light on one of your questions. I also live in Louisiana and am pretty sure I was never bitten by a tick either. A medical video that I was watching in my primary care physician’s office was listing illness /disease that could result from mosquito bites and to my surprise, Lyme disease was one of them. With that being said, I venture to say many living in the south have contacted Lyme disease in this way. I’m sure there are other vectors such as bird mites, spiders, etc. as well.
I’m sure Mel explained that not everyone that contracts Lyme disease gets Morgellons. However a very high percentage of Morgellons patients have Lyme disease. There seems to be a connection but the medical world has not figured it out so many (not all) doctors think Morgellons patients are delusional. Thank goodness some recognize that it is real as those of us suffering from it do.
God Bless,
