3/28/2021 12:14:03 PM | Dear All, The free app, 'Insight Timer,' is very good for helping to reduce anxiety and helps with rest, sleep and relaxation. 95 % of the content is free. Some online courses on it cost but the majority of stuff there does not. There is very nice relaxing music there and even bedtime stories and relaxation meditations. Check it out my friends... :-). Another thing is, although this pandemic is pretty awful, in that many of us are in lockdown, it is good for online communication. This might be beneficial for those suffering from bad Morgellons symptoms as you do not have to mix with people physically!!!! :-). So, go online and see what you like and take part. There are singing groups and choirs online. Singing is soo good for our mental health!!!!!! :-). There are also creative writing groups online. There are prayer groups or church groups that people can attend. There are also online exercise classes via zoom. There are support groups re anxiety if you need that extra support. There are support groups re many things!!!!!! There will be an abundance of things online, just figure out what you want to do and find like minded people online and sign up. Some are free classes others on a sliding scale re what people can afford. Others are reasonably priced. This is the BEST time to join an online group. There are soo many springing up everywhere. And remember, if you are realy struggling there are always telephone helplines in every country that help people to cope. In the UK the main free helplines are, 'Breathing Space,' and, 'Samaritans.' True, they will not understand Morgellons( you have our community for that) , but it might help just to talk about low mood or anxiety struggles. What about playing relaxing music, having an epsom salt bath with lavender essential oils in it. And have yourself a cheering fresh lemon and stevia drink. And remember sleep, sleep and more sleep. I always say to people if things feel too much, the best thing you can do is try and get a good sleep. Curl up in a little ball, hug yourself and let your mind drift off............ It's important also to remember that any troubles we have are not going to last forever. And to only take on what we can day to day. Stay in the present, don't look to the past or the future. Break it into manageable bite sized pieces and most of all BREATHE. Look up vagus nerve breathing and do it!!! This will allow your parasympathetic nervous system to calm down your body and mind. It is scientifically proven to do this. Most important of all is to be GENTLE ON YOURSELF especially when you are struggling. And remember it is not your fault that you got this illness. And we are here and we do understand what you are going through. With love, Chrissie |
