Yes what a great topic, I hope someone will come up with a miracle! We bought this house over 20 years ago and the day we viewed it we thought that it smelt very musty but as it had not been lived we thought it would just need a little airing, there wasn't any sign of damp on the walls nor under the floor boards but the smell of damp got worse we have had someone to check for damp but nothing was found as in the walls or floors but clearly there are spores. Our damp is in the house, it must have been brought in and multiplied over the years and we know the only way to get rid is to throw out everything out and start again and I mean everything the spores have even got into our metal filing cabinet holding all our important paperwork which needs to be kept, our mold is a nightmare just like the Morgellons. We have a air conditioning unit in one room which is running continually this has helped a lot with the smell in fact I cannot smell any mold in there now and the spores seem not to have come back on the furnishings, the other room that is really bad I don't even open the door let alone go in there!! We plan to buy another air conditioner so I am able to maybe get in there and throw things out but this is impossible at the moment as it is so awful. I know living here is going to be a battle to stay well when I do eventually get rid of this disease but I have come on leaps and bounds since starting Mel's protocol so I'm sure I will be able to conquer/overcome the mold problem....Moving house unfortunately isn't an option for us at the moment :( Thank you Karen for starting this topic, I will be watching with much interest for all tips and suggestion on this horrid mold business.
