Hello Everyone,

I attended yesterday's conference call and ever since, have not been able to get it out of my mind.

Sometimes things have a way of touching your heart...making you think...and allowing you to come to come full circle.

And yesterday's conference call was one of those.

The call featured a guest speaker...Thomas.

Thomas is a generous poster on the site...so anyone who's read about his journey would have had the general details prior to his explanation.

But hearing someone's voice casts a different light on perception...and we as listeners were able to hear the determination and sheer grit in his voice...strong personality traits that are obviously a part of his character...and those that have obviously served him well in his recovery to date.

Thomas' story was touching...he's had to overcome so much...all alone...deserted by those who he'd depended upon in the past...and through a long labyrinth of expensive rejection from the medical community, false hope and big bills from those who prey upon the desperate, and...in doing all of this while maintaining a very exhausting business.

And as a result of his diligent and consistent efforts, he's made a remarkable improvement in a relatively short period of time.

I"m sure I'm not alone in saying I felt inspired to put forth a bigger effort into doing the sum of the parts...because after hearing Thomas story...it was reaffirmed without a doubt that this is the path to wellness.

If this alone wasn't enough to feel inspiration then...hold the phone...a blast from the past appeared out of nowhere.

Mel called out an area code so the next person could speak and then a voice said...this is James...do you remember me?

James went on to say he'd been ill with MD a few years back but had gotten well and that he's stayed well to this date.

Something was suddenly different about the conference call...things got kind of quiet on Mel's end...and since I've started listening to these, I've never heard that happen.

I think it just floored him that James came back to share and at such an opportune time...and it touched him and the rest of us that this message...this positive and affirming voice would come to us at this point in time.

In my opinion it almost seemed like a Divine kind of thing.

Thank you James.

Here we all are...in the trenches...at all different stages...some seeing the light at the end of the tunnel...some in the middle of the dark road...some coming back to retrench, and some just getting started...trying to find even where the road begins.

How inspiring to have someone come back after so many years to reassure us all.

How inspiring to have that start a conversation about all those who have done the same...Peter shared a list of some others who have also gotten well...thank you Peter...we needed to hear that.

How inspiring to reaffirm that the sum of the parts is a road that can be traveled...and rough though it is...will eventually get you to the sunny happy days of no more MD.

And so...there was hope and inspiration in abundance...

And there was a reaffirmation that the hard road requires diligence, discipline, and commitment.

And there was proof...actual voices from the past...that this rough road will take us where we want to go.

There were tears...and there was laughter...on my part there was laughter for sure...I was glad to be muted because I was laughing at Thomas' description of Mel's personality and his reaction to it at first.

All of us knew what he was talking about...

But all of us also knew that Mel's attitude is nothing but a reflection of his single minded goal of seeing each and every one of us get to that sunny day of no more MD.

And it's a tough road.

Mel knows it. He's traveled it...actually...he paved it...so he knows what it takes. His gruff delivery is a little startling at first...but the consensus was...and is...that it's just his communication style...the heart that beats under it is focused like a heat seeking missile on the very best outcome for those he has chosen to dedicate his life in service.

So...if you want some inspiration...and if you have a couple of hours...it went long...everyone had so much to share...then listen to the Saturday, August 5th, 2017 conference call.

I think Mel said it usually takes a few days for the previous weekend's conference calls to get posted on "More Communication is Better"...so watch for it on that link.

Warm regards to all,

Karen
