5/20/2017 2:34:32 PM | Hello Folks After listening to this weeks Saturday conference call live, I want to share the way of my thoughts in a simple story. I pray this story will move you to give. The statue of an angel holding the hand of a little boy had been placed on a neglected back shelf in an antique shop. It was covered with soot and dust, lost amidst the clutter of jars, trinkets, and ornaments. A man browsing through the shop discovered the figurine and took it in his hands. He had an inspiration! He would rescue it from oblivion, restore it, and give it a place of honor among the precious ornaments on his fire place mantle. At home, in his basement workshop, the man covered the angel and the child with glistening white paint. Then he painted the wings of the angel and the hair of the little boy with sparkling gold. Each brush stroke worked magic. The grime covered statuette vanished and a shining new one reappeared. The statuette was transformed before his eyes back into a thing of beauty. As the man painted, he thought: "Isn't this what happens to people who heal from disease? They come to the end of each day dust covered from the struggle. And then, someone enables them to repaint the better angels of their natures with love and joy and peace. And they are healed." And so we see in this story the art of repainting the angel. The gift of restoring another's health. Never to stay down in the dust and the dirt. That there is hidden goodness in each and every one of us. And that through the gift of a donation you can provide those stricken with Morgellons a chance to gleam again with the glory of renewed hope. And in giving, you too have a chance to restore the image of your best self, to regain lost ground, and to start over again by and through your gift. I will lead the way by making a small donation upon submitting this post. Please follow my lead and give. Strength and Love, peter |
