I wanted to thank you all for your prayers about my situation with my daughter's wedding. God has truly blessed and the problems have been resolved!! I will not be going to Vegas, it will be a pre-wedding trip for the bridal party (young people). There will be 2 weddings, one in Vegas for the groom and one here for the bride and her family and his!! She has spent so much on decorations and stuff for the wedding, we are going to use it, but scale down the wedding size. Her Dad could also not travel. So they will find one big room and family will do most of it. They will cater the food and cake etc... She surprised me and came to visit me on Mother's Day weekend and everything was discussed. She was never that thrilled about Vegas but her fiance was and he works so hard and is so burned out, she just couldn't take it away from him. So, I suggested 2 weddings, They would have spent a fortune on the original wedding last May, and they have had a year more to save. So, they can afford 2 smaller weddings that meets everyone's needs and it a blessing after all the let downs from last year. Because of Covid, their dream wedding was cancelled. The bachelor and bachelorette parties were cancelled and the honeymoon - all cancelled!! It was such a huge disappointment at the time. And yet you have to keep going!! My daughter cried quite a bit. They rescheduled with the Venue for this July, a year later, hoping all would be past (Covid etc...). That was the earliest reschedule date they could get because so many others were also rescheduling. They were waiting to have their dream wedding, but alas, still couldn't have what they originally wanted. Too many rules and stipulations, so they couldn't see spending all that money on a wedding they were not going to be happy with. Hence, the Vegas idea ( a rehearsal dinner, a wedding, and some fun activities. So....2 smaller weddings - one for him and one for her. Yes, extremely crazy and unconventional, but it solves all problems. She can wear her wedding dress with the long train which she felt funny about wearing in Vegas. And go ahead with the alterations. No honeymoon, except for Vegas. She has kept her original invitations and they will now have 3 dates printed on them w/ one marked out and 2 furfilled!! Talk about one for the records book and what a story to tell her grandchildren one day!! She left me, feeling so much better and quite happy!! And I was so relieved and happy she understood the dangers for me and others and did not want us to fly there. I have warned them about taking all precautions!!! Natalie is 26 and Nick is 28 and they have been working quite a while. I cringe at the money, but they earned it, and they deserve to spend it how they like. SO...C'est La Vie, Live and Let Live (even in COVID)!!!! Thank you so much for the prayers!!! See...God never answers how we think He will, I certainly never expected this and neither did my daughter!! Thank you all again, God Bless!! Hopefully a true happy ending!!
