Hi Everyone,
I just finished my 5th week on the protocol. It’s been tolerable so far. I’ve had some purging but it seemed to have slowed a bit. The only symptoms that continue to plague me are severe fatigue and crawling, burning skin on my face and scalp. I am always cold and I wake up every morning sick. I feel sick like I drank a bottle of whisky. I never feel rested. I guess these symptoms will resolve as I get better. Oh and did I mention I look like death. I don’t even recognize myself when I look in the mirror.
The rest of my skin has calmed quite a bit by using many of the recommendations from this site. I have learned the mightiness of essential oils (thank you ladies). I have been using oregano, clove, neem and eucalyptus oils on my scalp, skin and in the bath. I use coconut cream as a carrier oil and wow what results. I can’t believe how medicinal these oils are.

I have been using all of the recipes on this site and so far have made almond joys, Almond Pumpkin cookies and Almond bread. It’s been real fun to learn how to bake in a healthy way. It’s easy!
I also learned that xylitol is a no no. I used xylitol to make my first batch of almond joys only to flare up with candida symptoms. Stevia is the only option for us.
I started the extension today and am looking forward to herxing and purging. It’s what we need to do to heal so bring it on! But not at night please hahaha.

I miss my kids but they seem to understand that to protect them we need to stay away from each other. Boy is it hard to be so isolated from the world.

My husband has been a great support for me. He has agreed to do whatever it takes to help me heal. So, we are both eating healthy and taking the protocol. He has been helping quite a bit around the house as well. A big Amen to that! I am really hopeful that this protocol eradicates his RA. That gleam of hope has really been good for us. He is taking some seriously scary meds for RA that suppresses his immune system. It’s just not good to live long term on these meds.

Lastly, my pups are doing a little better. My labradoodle seems to be affected more than my little Yorkie. She is very tiny but tenacious. Yorkies are the best dogs! I love them both but little Sophie is special.

I want to thank Mel for his patience with me. As I look back a month I’ve come a long way and I owe it to him, John and all of you here on this site.

I feel hopeful.

Love, peace and light,
Lola
