Hello everyone

STRENGTH and LOVE

I felt that it was important to share this food preparation practice that Mel recently shared with me. It seems that there is a strong likelihood that fresh vegetables(organic also) have a degree of mold and fungus on them as a natural result of transporting them from the fields where they grow to the grocery outlets where we buy them. Look at the bottoms of the produce bins they are kept in and you will see mold!.

Mel informed me that he does a light wash of his vegetables with white vinegar to remove any residue. He said he uses a colander and then recycles the vinegar using a funnel for another couple uses.

I tried this and was floored with what I saw. After only two washes, the white vinegar had turned brown in color and had become thick and filmy!!

The thought that I had been ingesting that filmy residue with my vegetables was very alarming. I think Mel has provided us with an important diet strategy. WASH YOUR VEGETABLES IN VINEGAR. You can dilute the vinegar to make it go farther.

If you are thinking otherwise, try two washes and see what is left in your vinegar. I think you will, as I have, make this a regular practice.
