Hi Anna,

Try to find some joy in the small steps. Many small steps will make a big step. I think that taking joy in each small step forward will also be a signal of hope to your body.

I am pretty sure I have heard Mel say that the 5th or 6th month after beginning the protocol can be a very hard time. It is important to realize this. So if you feel like you are not moving forward at all, or like you might be having more symptoms, know that it will pass.

It is frustrating and hurtful when family members don't understand what we are going through with this disease, or when they say something unfair to us. The only thing I know to do at those times is to try to work on forgiveness.

I say try to work on forgiveness because it is easy to say to myself that I forgive, but my heart takes a while to catch up to my words. Then sometimes when I think my heart has caught up to my words, the hurt or angry feelings will try to rise up again, so it is definitely a process for me.

Thank you for the very kind, encouraging words :-)

It was so thoughtful of you to make the Tips for Beginners booklet for everyone, and for you and Karen to start the thread, "Everyone is Welcome Here (Tips for Beginners)". The thread is great to help new people on the forum and those of us needing a refresher course. The booklet is a great tool for everyone.

I always like reading your posts and hearing you on the weekend calls.

You are very thoughtful and caring and an important part of this community.

Galatians 5:22-23 (MEV)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law.
