Ok, to start let me ask everyone, who feels like they’ve always had to be in the “waiting phase of your life”? Doesn’t feel like it last forever!?! We’ve all heard that saying before, God grant me patience, and give it to me now! I’ve been thinking about this so much, because I feel like I have no patience and I’m stuck waiting with no clear direction in sight, and this is what came to mind. A traffic light. You see we have the red light to stop and wait, the yellow to slow us down for safety and the green is to get up and go! A perfect example for this is when our light is green. We safely move forward, and we’re trusting God. Yellow of course is to slow us down and keep our eyes open, and then of course there is the red…. to stop and wait….. and wait some more!! You see, in waiting for the green light, our patience becomes our downside. We eagerly want to move forward because we are such in a hurry anymore. Now think of what would happen if you ran straight through that red light. You’ve not only put yourself in danger, but someone else as well. So rather than waiting, moving forward in a direction that we are unsure of, may not be safe. We should absolutely stop and seek God’s will for our lives so we can be in complete alignment with His plan and not our own. So, if you’ve received have a green light, then keep on moving and push through! If it’s yellow and you’re slowing down, rest easy and stay focused. but….. If you are waiting at the red light and it feels like a complete standstill, find peace and know that God is putting into place your next divine journey. Simply remember it’s all in His timing and will and not our own! “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NIV “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
