Hi Tia,
Hoped you like my story about my daughter, Natalie, and college. She and my son are my joy!!!! He is 38 and she is 25 soon to be 26.
Yes, there is a 12 year difference in their ages!! She was an answer to a prayer I prayed for quite a while. God just knew it would be in His time. 12 years, my son graduated high school and she started kindergarten; it was like starting all over again! But, Oh....the joy they have brought to my life!!
It wasn't always easy, this life never really is without God, My son went through the drug phase for some years. I gave both my children to God when I had them. I told God, I know they are mine to raise and teach and guide: but they have always been yours so put them on a leash and when they stray too far from you, reel them back in!!
Praise God He did!! My son came out of it unscathed and learned some very important and valuable life lessons!
My daughter has always been blessed with a very unique and spiritual soul. She is and always has been very devout. She was my miracle baby (story for another day)! She witnessed to her friends in Jr. High and High School! She still amazes me!!!
I also had intense loneliness when she left for college; both my kids had left the nest and having been a single mom for quite some time, it was hard!!
I will pray for your daughter at school and for you at home. I will also keep you in prayer for healing, strength, and support!!
So glad you are in the community! Mel is very dear and so loving and he always has the answers! Take one day at a time, follow the 8 rules, and have FAITH!!
