Ah, so the time difference is actually six hours, maybe mum cannot count! :-). Well I can see that this time thing is very complex and that indeed I cannot come to you for a meaty meat treat or a Cheryl cuddle if I want one! Oh dear!. Yes time is indeed a strange and wonderful thing. Mum says there's a time and a place for everything and she says that the group, 'The byrds,' agree with their very lovely song, 'Turn, Turn, Turn.'.... So.. Check it out groovy kids!. Apparently, that's what they would have said at the time when they made this song :-). TURN! TURN! TURN! (Lyrics) - THE BYRDS For educational purposes only and no copyright infringement intended. About the song: "Turn! Turn! Turn! (to Everything There Is a Season)", often abbreviate... youtu.be Well, talking of birds mum says I'd have to fly over the ocean in a big metal machine with wings like a bird, in order to come and see you! Apparently, they'd put me in a cage at the back, just because I walk on all fours, have fur and a big waggy tail! Och the absolute injustice of it!!! :-( Yet the animals who walk on two legs(like humans) with no fur and no functioning tail have it easy. They get to sit on seats, watch entertainment, eat and drink to their hearts content. All this while the machine flies through the air! I don't understand the fur prejudice. Firstly, fur is better than bald, as mum needs to buy clothes and I do not. One winter mum wore a big brown furry hat with long spaniel like ears. She actually copied me :-). Well, they do say that imitation is the biggest form of flattery!. It was funny, we looked like twins. Secondly, the fact that y' all (I'm copying your admirable southern lingo) don't have a proper tail is silly. It must be frustrating Auntie Cheryl when you feel like chasing a tail that you don't actually have! :-(. I commiserate as I truly love my tail, it provides me with many hours of entertainment. Besides, the long fur on it shimmies when I am happy. And it let's you know if I am sad. I don't have to bark a word! Ingenious inventions tails! Although you know me, I'm a great talker (like mother, like daughter hee hee). Apparently, my extensive list of dramatic facial expressions are second to none. Mum tells me daily to join a drama group. She said some group where they do doggie Shakespearean type plays would suffice... "oh where art though bouncy ball," Holly says with a dramatic sigh!. What do you think Auntie Cheryl? Do you think I'd have the qualities needed to walk the boards? You could be my agent, I'd give you a cut of the dog biscuits that I earned :-). Ah, so you like gravity!. But what goes up, must come down. So then, do you and your husband like jumping up and down?. When I was a pup I liked to dive into the sea and bounce up and down as if I was on a pogo stick. I guess I lived up to my namesake, 'springer!'. Well, everybody would laugh. Mum said that watching me was the embodiment of pure joy. She said the delight on my face as I bounced up and down, long spaniel ears flapping as I did was priceless! :-). Yes, Deanna said you are intuitive Auntie Cheryl and she was right. I guess it is better for people to have fun in their own ways. It's just that when I'm having a lovely time, I want to share that fun, y'know?. What!!! Human men don't want to be trained by their wives?. Now, that's just silly!!!. Look at all the fun tricks that they are missing out on!. Mum laughed when you said your husband is untrainable after 41 years!! I don't know why that's funny though? I do hope he's toilet trained (serious Holly face). I know what you mean re human females, mum tries to fix everything. But I do encourage her to relax, stay grounded and have a laugh. Just as I encourage everyone who is reading this to do that also. There is a time to weep but also a time to laugh!. Listen to that, 'Byrds,' song. They will keep us all right :-). Thanks for all your kind words Auntie Cheryl. Mum said I'm a good example to all, because despite health issues, my glass is always half full, not half empty. What glass? She's talking in riddles again, is she herxing?. I'm a cheeky wee monkey too, aren't I :-). Love Holly woof Xx | |||
