Hi Donna,
If your husband doesn't have any symptoms at all, I wouldn't see that you would need to get him on the protocol, unless he wants to improve his health, which I believe the protocol can do for absolutely everybody.
As I had mentioned, my husband came in contact with fleas at one of his customer's houses and they got on him and into his work truck. He was being bitten for quite a few days, and eventually brought them home. Then the springtails (colembolla) infested our house to feed on the fleas and that's when they MD symptoms began for me. My husband and my youngest daughter did have some symptoms after a while. At the time, I did not know what I had, because I hadn't found Mel's site yet. Once I found the site and began the protocol, I started my husband on it, and John from Logo's helped me come up with a protocol for my daughter. Over time my husband and daughter both scaled back on what they were taking, and both have been doing well for some time now....Thank GOD!
My oldest daughter never came down with any symptoms whatsoever. I truly believe it is because she has a very strong immune system, like my husband, and she was not bitten by any of the fleas (which truly believe carry lyme).
