Dear Debbie,

It's excellent to hear that you are now in the protocol!!! Wahoo!! I was very pleased to hear that. And I'm glad that two weeks in you can already feel that it is helping!

Have you heard of, 'Barley Cup'? It's a instant coffee substitute made of Rye, Barley and Chicory. I have known people who liked it so it may be worth a try.

Have you tried Tahini? It is a seed butter made with sesame seed paste. It is high in calcium and protein. You can make a nice salad drizzle, mix Tahini with lemon juice and pour onto your veggies.

I like cauldron Tofu because it's organic non GMO and made from whole soya beans (you want whole soya bean sources, organic only). It is a good source of protein, iron and calcium. You can make scrambled tofu with Spices and veg or roast it with any flavours you like. I like tomatoes, smoked paprika, garlic and yeast free stock..Eat tofu in moderation because you don't want to eat too much soya.

Stick to non starchy cruciferous vegetables. They do have some protein in them but not a lot. Did you try the goats cheese? Could you possibly try to be a pescatarian and eat a little fresh fish like salmon which would be very good for you? A little portion of lentils or chickpeas in moderation is good too. And quinoa is a complete protein in and of itself. As Cheryl said you do have to watch the carbs in grains and pulses. A small amount is fine.

I hope your sleeping in that bed of yours now. I have been trying to get you to go into it for ages. I'm always thinking,"I hope Debbie is in that bed!!!"

Thanks for your kind wishes re my recuperation:-).

It was lovely to hear your voice on the tenth anniversary call. And so good that it helped you talking with Mel.

Hope to hear you again soon!
