I think you communicate very clearly despite having multiple serious health issues. Anyone who reads your post will stop to say a prayer for you in hopes to send strength and love to you (and a virtual hug). This disease will beat you physically and when you start fighting back it will then fight you mentally. It wants you to give in . It wants you to cave so it can live. find that even though Mel-ism: "You can't kill the disease if you're feeding it". I find that coming on the website every night keeps me from feeling lonely and hopeless. I gain knowledge and inspiration here and I feel much less stress when I started participating in the forum. First, it felt like a chore but the more I respond to people the better I felt.. In a way, it takes me out of myself. I feel connected with others and hopeful and helpful. It makes me feel closer to God and that can never be wrong. So now I go on to see who's been on lately and anything they may want to share, even if it's venting an emotion like when you mentioned your cat scan (fear). Then you shared about your depression and hopefully makes you feel a little better that you're not alone. This disease wants to beat you down ; so it can consume you. It will use every possible tool to survive. If it can't beat you physically it will try mentally. If it can't beat you mentally it will try to beat you spiritually. When it breaks your spirit, then it works on the other parts until you feed it. This is what I'm realizing anyway. So when I see scripture - and I thank those who quote scripture from the bottom of my heart- it lifts me up that much further. That for me is the final SUM of the parts Give yourself credit for keep getting back on that horse. You inspire me to be as brave. Love and prayers to you, Nicholas | ||||||
