Thank you so much for sharing your emotional journey with us. You write with such openness, candour and honesty. I found your post to be beautiful, poignant and heartbreaking. Oh Nicholas how do you explain to a little boy when daddy is going through such an illness as this and the pain (emotional and physical) that we all go through with this disease? How to explain, when as adults we cannot even fully comprehend the extreme difficulties that we endure? It can be like a war, like we are battling in the trenches, knee deep in mud. Sometimes not being able to see our way through as we wade on. Sometimes only having God for comfort to hold on to in the darkness. You describe just how real and tortuous this is despite the medical profession thinking its a figment of all our imaginations. Oh, I had tears in my eyes when you dropped your little boy off with his nana and researched if your life insurance covered suicide. Thank God that it did not!!!!! :-(. It is so true, sadly, that many of us have been in that very same place because of this illness. Im very glad that you made it here , for you and for your little boy. I'm glad that you are going from strength to strength, both physically and emotionally. I'm glad that you and your boy are loving your model railway and spending some precious quality time together. Time, that not that long ago you feared you would never have again.. But you do have it :-). Im so glad that we all made it here. It is a blessing that this community and website and knowledge and medicine is here to help us all to heal. I think that you said the most lovely thing that I have EVER read on this website. You said, "the people here have hundreds or thousands of scars in their body and are some of the most beautiful people on the planet." Oh, I have tears in my eyes again. Thank you for your delicate and wise words. God bless you and your dear son. Chrissie. | ||||||
