Hello,

It's been a while since I've made a post. To those who don't know me, I've been on the protocol for a year now.

I've had some setbacks along the way eating things I knew were bad; Halloween candy and more recently hamburger rolls(insert hockey stick here).
Also I was battling COPD in January & February. I had gotten Bronchitis which turned into Pneumonia. This has happened at least a few times to me but never while battling Morgellons and other co-infections at the same time.

Needless to say it was a rough time and a long path to recovery

All that has brought me closer to the protocol and the wonderful people that are always here to help. And do we ever lean on one another!

Part of the solution has been an increase in sleep!

I've always had a very active lifestyle.

As I got closer to a major herx back in November I had a major decline in energy that I hadn't had before. The only thing I wanted to do was sleep.

At work, I held lead position which I held for a few years. This of course came with more stress which feeds the disease like sugar. I resigned from that position and took a job with less responsibility and less stress (and less money).

Money doesn't do very much good if you're dead.

I could barely get enough rest and when I woke it was as if I hadn't slept at all. If I could have taken time off from work I would have. I did call in sick several times which I rarely do.

My focus is now on my health not my job or anything really.

I have to care for my son as he's only 7 but he's pretty independent at times. He knows I'm trying to get well so he lets me rest often (Thank you Lord).
Since the latest treatment for COPD that I've had, combined with the less stressful position and the increase in rest and sleeping I have noticed a huge change in my overall health.

You will not be able to get well until you give you're body the proper rest it needs to fight all of the internal abnormalities.

We all got here from co-infections that went undetected and many cases we've never heard of them. As I look back now it feels like I was watching a slow car crash and wonder how this crash took so long with all that I've ignored. I go down the list and check all that applied to me and it was like yes I've got that , Yes I've had these symptoms before, yes I've eaten sugar my entire life and on and on.

So it took this long for me to walk into the forest and it's going to take a long time to get out.

This is why I chose the word Perseverance.
The more things you have to battle the longer it takes.

To anyone new I want you to know that if you follow the protocol as it is written your nightmare will go away.

There's no magic pill. It takes a lot of work and dedication but your symptoms will subside. Mine all but completely went away prior to having respiratory infections and had to take anti-biotics. I had two choices take them at home or through an IV in the hospital. I chose to take them at home.

My Dr. said I was "swirling down the drain". But I'm still here and I'm still fighting and every day that God keeps me here is a day that I cherish.

You've heard it often "It's the SUM of the parts NOT some of the parts" This includes all of our guiding principles. Slow and steady.
Get ready to fight this monster because the alternative is not good.

May God give you strength, May this community give you love and peace, and may you give it a chance.

Love always,
Ole Saint Nick
