Before I started the protocol, I spent 9 months on antibiotics because I listened to a “Lyme-literate” doctor. Although I do believe that they brought me back from the dead (or what felt like it), I also know now that they probably did damage (that I try not to think about) to my gut health. I was on three different antibiotics twice a day. It was just awful. Poison for the poison.
At the same time, I was literally in a battle with severe anxiety and depression. Fortunately, those days are over, largely thanks to finding my wits (and getting off the antibiotics) and finding Mel and the protocol and the forum.
Live and learn—that’s what I tell myself.
I now feel like a thousand bucks compared to my darkest days. Slow and steady for all of us. I look forward to hearing your voice this weekend during the conference calls.
