Im glad when you had the biopsy and ultrasound in 2009 that the thyroid nodules were benign. 95% of thyroid nodules are benign. Are the new nodules in the same location with the same characteristics, similar size as before? They can sometimes be around for years, grow, shrink, change size.
Did the dentist say they were definitely thyroid related? Because throat nodules could also potentially be lymph nodes, salivary gland changes or something else.
I haven't had any thyroid nodules myself. But if you are concerned in anyway I think it would be best to get them checked out by your doctor for advice. Most benign nodules are monitored and not actively treated. It is good most are harmless.
There was a small scale study with 34 participants over 3 months with thyroid nodules. They used spirulina, curcumin and Boswelia and found a 20% reduction in the size of the nodules. However, personally I think I would need to know what I was dealing with before taking supplements.
You could ask John B from Logos about the nodules and what he would reccomend you do, as he has a wealth of knowledge as you know.
Good luck, Chrissie |
