MAGNIFICENT PRAYER by NICK HARRISON
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible,
but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
I have found that there are three stages in every great work of God: first, it is impossible, then it is difficult, then it is done.
(J. Hudson Taylor)
PRAY ABOUT IT: Every Christian should read 'Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secret'. The story of his hard missionary life and the answers to prayer will encourage the reader. One way he put the above statement to the test was in his motto:
"To move man, through God, by prayer alone." To trust God to move in the heart of another, without his speaking a word to them, was his practice. It seemed impossible at times. But God didn't fail.
What stage is your situation today? Impossible? Difficult?
Or done? Stay with it until it is the latter.
Remember this: ALL the resources of the Godhead are
at our disposal. (Jonathan Goforth) |
