Hello everyone - I hope this message finds you well. I want to provide you all a brief update on Mel:
Mel had his orthopedic consultation on Friday morning (June 18) at the Orthopedic Clinic of Reno, in their new Express Wing. This is a very clean wing and probably the best place to have any type of ortho-surgery performed, should Mel need it.
Results at this stage are inconclusive as to what exactly is going on with his knee, and Mel will have an MRI done next week to get a better look at things. If surgery is needed, Mel is fortunate enough to already have the surgeon lined up as he is a good friend of Mel's best practitioner - Dr. Zamboni, and surgery would take place at the end of June.
Until then, Mel is currently in a knee brace that limits his mobility, but keeps him safe from potentially doing any further damage. He's in high spirits and can't wait to get back to doing what he does best and enjoys most - helping each of us along our healing journey, hosting conference calls and Prayer & Fellowship.
In fact... this Sunday (June 20), the Prayer & Fellowship call is ON! Let's all say prayers for Mel as he continues on this journey and offer up any and all words of support and encouragement. Mel is a true warrior who has devoted over a decade of his life to helping us heal and he deserves every bit of support from this Community!
