After finally getting to talk with the head nurse for the right doctor, Mel patiently had to wait 8 more days to be told that he first needs a pre-op evaluation on his knee before any procedure can be performed. The evaluation is scheduled for 9/8/21 and, Lord willing, Mel will get the procedure he needs and hopefully will not have to wait too long for it.
We talked quite a bit this week and he's in good spirits, all things considering (although I have to think his dinner of pasta and homemade meat sauce and garlic bread had something to do with those good vibes!!).
Mel - hear our prayers for you and know that God has planned this path for you long ago. You're our rock and I believe He wants to be sure you've got another 75 years in the tank to continue healing His people :)
