Hi Everybody,

My brother died last Tuesday, April 14. He was just shy of 63 years old. I am just shy of 62 years old, so we grew up right together, doing practically everything together.

My brother really needed to go to the hospital a few days before he died, as he had been very ill and his condition worsened, but he would not go because due to covid19 restrictions here, he would have had to be alone at the hospital. He did not want to take the chance of dying alone in the hospital without his wife of 27 years being by his side. In the early morning of April 14, his heart gave out and he passed away from a heart attack while he was sleeping.

I had not meant to post about this but because of your kind condolences, I felt like I should post a little about him.

My 83 year old mother is heartbroken to have lost her oldest child. His wife of 27 years is heartbroken as well. He has a 19 year old daughter who has lost her father. My sister and I have lost our only brother.

Because of covid19 restrictions. no memorial service or gathering of family and friends has been allowed. Hopefully there will be a memorial service to celebrate his life sometime in the future. That is what he wanted, a celebration of his life with his family and friends gathered together.

He is most certainly with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, now. During his life, he wrote several Christian songs and one of them, "Take Me In" has been sung in many churches over the years and recorded by several Christian artists. My favorite version was recorded by the Christian rock group Kutless. I am posting that video below in my brother's memory.

Thank you all again for the condolences, prayers, kind thoughts, and beautiful verses concerning my brother.

Thank you all as well for the kind thoughts concerning me becoming an active member of the community again. I could certainly say the same kind things to all of you, as every one of you are special and add so much to this community.

God bless,

Cheryl
