5/27/2012 9:38:39 AM | Mel,your story of Liverwurst is very simular to my experience with an Osprey.An Osprey is commonly called a sea eagle.Shortly after my husband died suddenly,I asked for a sign form him via God.Every morning at the time he died,I visited the site where he died.He diet on a knoll above his business site.Very soon after he died,I always saw Osprey flying overhead at the precise time of his death everyday.One day I asked God to let me know if this was my sign.In other words as humans go,we always want more.As I was driving away from the site,one of the Osprey landed on the edge of the pit in front of me.I stopped the car and got out.I walked within 5 feet of him and he kept eye contact even after I begin talking to him.My son-in-law at the time happened to be there and saw what was happening.He had pulled his truck over behind mine.I did not realized he was behind me until he spoke.He said 'I have never seen anything like that before'.Refeering to a hawk allowing a human to get that close and stay around for her to actually talk to her.Unfortunately,when he spoke,the hawk looked at him and flew away.Interestingly,my husband did not care for our son-in-law as he had been unfaithful to our daughter.In my grief,I resented the interuption but kept it to myself.For 1 year,I was there almost every morning of the week,I saw the Osprey everytime I came but never had another encounter with this bird. I feel this was God's way of letting me know death may seperate you physically but the hearts and spirits stay bonded for life.He was a symbol of hope and purpose.As people leave our lives,others are still here.We need to work to get better for ourselves as well as others.God Bless and keep us all. |
