It is my understanding that coffee is too acidity and our goal is to have a PH balance between 6.8 and 7.2. According to Science Buddies.org; "Coffee might land somewhere around 4.7" (Note that "black coffee" is marked on the PH scale as a 5.0) Therefore, this could be one reason for the reaction.

Another concern is the cleanliness of your coffee. Is it organic or grown in less toxic places? The third consideration; what are you putting in your coffee?

You might try to stay off the coffee for a while until your PH is consistently within the healthy range before introducing it again.
