| If you are using a steamer to steam clean surfaces or your clothing, add a little 'punch' to its' effectiveness by adding 6 to 8 drops of MMS (activated with appropriate amount of citric acid) to the water you put in your steamer. You may want to do a 'test' sample on an inner seam of some darker fabrics, if you are concerned about potential bleaching effects. |

| Dear SoHAdEnough, YES - get a hand held steam cleaner. They do work. Shark has a good one. You can also steam iron all clothing - nice hot steam - better than the dryer. Never give up on this thing. Keep fighting. It gets better and better and eventually you will win. |

| Dear SoHadEnough, Try using MMS in washing clothes, have car detailed to help remove flying bugs and lower the numbers,I don't know how to deal with the lack of a clothes dryer but store clothes in closed tight container. It will take time and patience to clean your environment. The problem decreases with time and dedication. As Mel said read cleaning your environment posts. There is a lot of good info there.God bless and keep us all,Kathy |

2/24/2011 12:21:28 PM | My physical symptoms are diminishing (more dramatically since adding MMS a week ago), but I'm still really struggling with the 'personal environment' part of this.
The biggest problems I have are my vehicle and my clothing.
I bought a portable washing machine (hooks up to the sink), but I don't have a dryer. I live in a rural area, and the nearest laundromat is some distance away. When I line-dry my clothes---after washing in Borax, orange tko, etc etc--they're still covered with debris. I have an indoor clothesline for the winter. I'm wondering if using a handheld steam cleaner on my clothes (while they're hanging) might work.
Also wondering if this would work in my car--on the seats and remaining upholstery. I removed most of the carpet in my car (and found mold underneath). My car is full of flying white fibers--some very tiny, they almost look like gnats--despite repeated vacuumings and fogging with Cedarcide.
Any experiences with small, inexpensive steam cleaners? Recommended brands?
Thanks in advance for any response.
