I was wondering does anyone know if it is okay to take the vitamin called the one and only thru new beginnings with the supplements from the healing protocol? I got results from the organic acid urine test which showed low citric acid, low absorbic acid, low pyridoxic acid, pantothenic acid deficiency, Methylmalonic acid is elevated, and decreased pyroglutamic acid. I talked to great plains lab and they said I very low in all minerals and suggested that vitamin- I do take a daily vitamin and extra C already. She also suggested I get on the essential omegas right away and so I ordered both. Each month I am going to add another thing from the protocol to get better. I am not able to take the antibiotic Bactrim and I am allergic to so many so I don't know what to do about that.

OH and I am allergic to pennicillin and erythromycin. I have a lot of allergies to meds as I was very sick as a child and probably over prescribed. I hope there is something that will help me with the healing protocol. Thanks for your info on both meds.

Hiya everyone,

Well speaking of antibiotics, I just went through something I would not wish on my worst enemy with erythromycin 500.
Boy was I sick.
I only took one in the evening and one the next morning, and I was so sick ,I had to stop it almost immediatly.
I doubled over in agony, I had an awful reaction, which I found out later many other people have had.. the exact same reactions from that drug. (Later I found a site where people listed their reactions to that drug in particular, showing male to female results, they seemed to be largely women/?)Perhaps this is it? Some men had that reaction too, however.
Anyway,
This was from the Dr in West Chester, remember..? I had a tick bite too, so this was the treatment that was supposed to help that.. in lieu of starting the bactrim..which he was afraid to start me on for several reasons..
To make a long story short I feel much better today!
I am keeping to a healthful diet, taking vitamin D,oil of oregano, and so very thankful for feeling better today!
At one point on that medication I cried out to God and Jesus to help me, it was that bad.
I feel I did get my help.

The Dr warned me that the bactrim is quite harsh in comparison to the others..he did not advise me to start on that due to this and the tick bite concern.
I had also taken a course of Ceftin for the tick bite only a short time prior to this.

Augmentin is a fairly broad spectrum antibiotic from the penicillin family. Actually a combination of two antibiotics (amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium), it is often prescribed for bacterial infections that are presumed to be resistant to other antibiotics... most likely the reason why your doctor chose it.

Additionally, Augmentin is used to treat sinusitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and infections of the skin. It is not recommended for patients with allergic reactions to penicillins or cephalosporins, or for pregnant or nursing mothers.

It is not considered as broad spectrum as Bactrim, and may actually have a higher tendency to promote fungal overgrowth.

Thanks Deb2 I'll try that. Good Idea. I am hoping my doctor will help me so I don't have to drive 6 hours away.

To Kim,
Long story short... when I was in the emergency room, the PA there went on-line to look at Morgellons (because of course he never heard of it) and came up with the Augmentin. The reason I am telling you this is that "I believe" that "doctors" can go on-line to the CDC and get some "treatment" info. Apparently it says to take Doxycycline for 30 days. I had a bad reaction to Doxycycline, so he gave me the augmentine instead. Unfortuately at the time I was so dick that I didn't ask him where he got that info, but I believe it was the CDC because that is how I was able to convince him about Morgellons. Maybe you can get your Dr. to check out the CDC web-site and get the anti-biotic. give it a shot.

Hi Mel and Deb 2- thanks for the response and help :). To be honest I do not have a doctor who will treat me for morgellons. My internal medicine doc does believe me and has signed off on the organic acid urine test and the comp stool (so that is good) but he had said he'd refer me to anyone else to try to treat the morgellons- he's just not comfortable trying to treat. The only doctor I found who is morgellons friendly is in Tennessee which is 6 hours away from me. I am in Illinois. I haven't been to that doctor yet though, I have to see first, if my insurance would cover treatment in another state. I did get some of my urine results and there was 6 things high or low, the stool should be in soon. Sorry to get off track with my response, so I'll have to first find a doctor and then I'll ask about the Augmentin- I would like to try bactrim again to see if I am still allergic first but I am not sure if this is a good idea.

Hi Mel. I was wondering if there is a place online that you can order everything for the new protocol, everything except the antibiotic. And God bless you and thank you so much for sharing this! I am excited to get on the road to healing! I am hoping I can get my doctor to order the antibiotic too. How long do you have to stay on the antibiotic?

The Protocol

The most constant thing in life is change; not the first time that I have said this. As my health has improved and I have continued to learn more about Morgellons, the protocol has evolved.

In the beginning, I was searching for a cure for Morgellons. Now with all that I have learned, I am attempting to continuously restore the integrity of my immune system, to reduce and control inflammation in my body, and to balance my body chemistry.

Last but certainly not least, on a continuous basis, I am supporting my body's ability to detoxify. It is my belief that this will ensure that I do not ever get sick (with Morgellons) again.

Old Protocol

8:30 am - (1) tablespoon of Molecula Silver
10:30 am - (1) Bactrim, (1) Limbrel
Noon (3) Complete Thymic Formula (1) fish oil
4:30 pm (1) Bactrim and (1) Limbrel
7:30 pm - MMS (1) drop to (5) drops lemon juice

I started with one drop MMS and worked up to my maximum, which was 14. Then I went to a maintenance dose of eight drops per night. It was at this point that I came to realize that I would need additional support and we added the Essential Flora probiotic.

Since then there have been three more changes: Limbrel, which is a prescription drug, has been replaced with two herbal formulas which do so much more than just deal with the inflammation (Essential Digestion and MagnifiCal), and we switched from fish oil to Essential Omegas.

New Protocol

7:30 am - Upon rising, on an empty stomach, I take (1) tablespoon of Molecula Silver under my tongue and leave it there for a while before I swallow it.
8:30 am - I take (1) Complete Thymic Formula (immune system tablet), (1) Essential Flora (which is a probiotic), (1) MagnifiCal (to reduce calcification), and (1) Ubinol CoQ10 (more on this later).
10:30 am - I take (1) Bactrim antibiotic
12:30 pm - I take (2)Complete Thymic Formula, (2) Essential Omegas, (1) Essential Digestion and (1) Liver CS Plus (detox support) with food.
4:30 pm- I take (1) Bactrim, (1) Essential Omegas, (1) Essential Digestion
Evening - Maintenance dose of MMS
Bedtime - (2) MagnifiCal, (1) Essential Flora and (1) Ubinol CoQ10.

It is easy to see that this could cause a little confusion. So to make things easier I laid out a towel, got little plastic baggies at Walmart, took my protocol page off my refrigerator and set up the baggies with the meds clockwise. If you do this, even on a bad day it will be easier.

In closing, today I would like to thank A to Z and the Logos folks for being so understanding and for giving us these new discounts as the protocol has grown.

A very special thanks to John Burgstiner not only for his continuous efforts to help educate me about our disease (so I may better serve all of you), but the one ingredient John felt was still missing (CoQ10), he has graciously given to all of us free of charge.

God bless you all,

Mel
