| Deb 2 and Auntie M Hi Deb and Emily,
Just a little'by the way' on the above post. The 'Lab' that I have posted is Great Plains Laboratory.
What has happened is that the Lab tests with a Urine test and a Stool test to determine which antibiotics will react correctly in your own body. What we have found in going through the process online here is that there are variables in each persons makeup.
For a while it was so disheartening as to know what should happen and how to help, for those who could not take Bactrim. We have been blessed with the testing so that those that cannot take Bactrim can see according to the test what suits their own makeup.
The tests do not have Bactrim on them, however they do test for: Amoxicillin R Ampicillin R Augmentin R Ciprofloxacin S Trimeth-sulfa What the testing also tests for is (what bacterias, fungus etc is growing)and which of the antibiotics anti fungals ,natural remedies, etc. will work for you.
Hope this helps. Pam | Deb2

| Mel, My progress has been great so far. I am very optimistic. I feel that in another few weeks I could be symptom free, remember, I have had this for over 5 years. If everything goes well, we will continue our discussion of a few weeks ago.

| Hiya Deb2, Welcome -as always! What good news, There are many folks who are alergic to sulfa drugs such as Bactrim. We have been waiting for those who have started taking Augmentin;to report in on there progress. Thanks so much for sharing I do not feel like you were going against me,as I have said many times we are all a little different. Please continue to report on your progress. Pam's clinic recommends Augmentin as one of the antibiotics that can be used. WELL DONE DEB2!
God bless good luck, mel | Deb2 **

Also, I now know that there are MANY layers of this horrid stuff, it has to come out someway. I was so bad that I really didn't think I could take anymore! But then I could see it was getting better. You MUST get on an ati-biotic asap. Not to go against Mel at all, but the bactrim didn't work for me. He was bit by a spider, I believe I had more fungus. Augmentin has worked well for me, but talk to your doctor. Also, I was taking baths with vinegar (about 1 -2 cups), it helps with the yeast and itching, give it a try. Deb2 | | |
